New Basement/House Pix!

As promised here are some new pictures of the basement and some other areas in the house. Since we've been moving losts of things around, the main floor has a new look too. We basically moved the big screen downstairs, had an unfortunate incident with the existing entertainment center, replaced the entertainment center, bought a new desk for the office in the basement, bought a new china hutch for upstairs and decorated the bar area. We are still working on getting all the decorating done. But here's our new look so far. We love it!!!

The bar area of the basement is pretty much done... we have a new Guinness mirror, an ice buckey, and the alcohol is ready for SuperBowl Sunday!

This is the desk we bought for the office, still needs a lot of work.


This is the new TV and entertainment center and the cherry chocolate wall. We think it looks great.

Early Birthday Presents Are VERY Cool --Especially this one

Today Connor came home to an early birthday present from Uncle Bob, Aunt Elisa, Emma, Tessa and Finn. He absolutely LOVES this chair, we weren't able to get him out of it all night. He likes to use the stand that it's supposed to sit on as his foot rest, but hey, he's almost 2, so we go with it. Check out the pix...

The Sunday Blues

Does it ever get easier? I know there are many of you that will read this and totally understand. I hate Sundays mostly because it means seeing so little of Connor throughout the week. In any case, here are some pictures to at least help keep me going and maybe you'll find them cute too.

I hope this is not foreshadowing of my son in college. ;-)

Slow but sure progress

We are steadily working on getting the basement all set up. Progress has been slow, as we try to find decorations and get all the furniture we need bought and delivered. Here are some pictures of the progress we've made so far. We are making changes to the entire house, including painting a wall upstairs. We'll be getting some more furniture on Wednesday. I'll keep adding pictures as we make progress. Here are some pictures.

PARTY TIME!

We are so VERY VERY happy to report that our basement is finished. Final inspection was Monday and it's finally ours to use. I've attached some pictures, these may not mean much to everyone else, as they are basically empty rooms, but we are pretty excited about it. There are also some picutures of Connor included (I know, big shock) just because he's so damn cute. We are hoping to start moving everything down to the basement this weekend. I"ll continue to post pictures as we get things decorated.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to everyone! Mat and I really enjoyed our time off with Connor. Mat has been off since December 15th and I've been off since the 23rd. Tuesday is going to be really hard on all of us. 2006 was a great year for us and we had a lot of fun with Connor. Here's a slide show of pictures of 2006

Happy Birthday, Mommy!

Yesterday was mommy's birthday and we had lots of fun. Especially with the cake! Connor was very good at saying. "Birfday mommy! Yay!" It was very sweet.

Connor and I were also working on thank you cards yesterday. His Ome Ron and Tante Mo gave him watermelons for Christmas too. Connor LOVES watermelon. So, yesterday as he was eating some, I asked him to show me the watermelon for a picture. Instead of lifting up the bowl he opened his mouth, which was full of watermelon.....

We've also found a new way to play with our trains. Apparently running around the table was just too much work this morning.

And finally, this is mommy and Connor reading the Cars book together... thanks daddy. I had a rough nap day yesterday.
