Happy Birthday, Mommy!

Yesterday was mommy's birthday and we had lots of fun. Especially with the cake! Connor was very good at saying. "Birfday mommy! Yay!" It was very sweet.

Connor and I were also working on thank you cards yesterday. His Ome Ron and Tante Mo gave him watermelons for Christmas too. Connor LOVES watermelon. So, yesterday as he was eating some, I asked him to show me the watermelon for a picture. Instead of lifting up the bowl he opened his mouth, which was full of watermelon.....

We've also found a new way to play with our trains. Apparently running around the table was just too much work this morning.

And finally, this is mommy and Connor reading the Cars book together... thanks daddy. I had a rough nap day yesterday.

Connor's 2nd Christmas

Santa was very, very good to Connor this year. He's had a fascination with trains, especially Thomas the Tank Engine. Toys R Us and Barnes and Noble have the Thomas train table. He was asking to go there and once he was there, we could never get him to leave. So, Connor's Oma and Opa got him the train table for Christmas, with accessories from Tante Nancy, Ome Bob, Robby and Thomas. We are unable to tear him away from the trains... he cries when he has to sit down to eat, when we have to leave for an errand, when he has to go to bed. I've never seen a kid this into a toy. Anyway, here are some pictures of Connor and the many wonderful toys he got for Christmas.

This is THE Thomas train table. It is currently in the middle of our living room until we finish the basement... should be done by the end of the week.

Connor's Ome Ron and Tante Mo got him a fish tank for Christmas. Connor LOVES the fishies. We were going to put it up in his room but for some reason he refuses to have the fish in his room. I have no idea where we are going to put them. Sounds like another great candidate for the basement. It's full before it's finished. I also think Ron needs to come over for the regular cleaning of the tank.....

This is the Little People garage that Connor got from Aunt Elisa and Uncle Bob. Also a big hit!

This is Connor and his 2nd cousin Noah playing on the train table at Oma's house. Noah is 6 weeks older than Connor. They sure hit it off!
